From Pennsylvania to Tennessee, Bailey Taylor brings to Nashville her honest storytelling and quick-witted sense of humor. The Pittsburgh native has called the “ten year town” home for five years now, and in that time has grown an impressive network of co-writers and contemporaries that has lead to her latest single which went viral on TikTok, “What’s Breaking Yours.”

Affectionately known to all who are close to her as BayTay, Bailey has always had the head of a dreamer. As a child, she loved singing in front of the mirror but quickly realized her passion for performing when she had the opportunity to sing on stage. Local shows turned into regional tours and then to festivals until she ultimately made the leap to move to Music City right out of high school. Pursuing her dream meant leaving friends and family behind and making many sacrifices, but with the support system she had, she knew it was the right decision. Ever since moving to Nashville, she has released singles such as Breakup Boundaries, Back of My Memory, Last Somebody New, and more. She plans to release many more with hopes of an album someday too.

“I think one of the coolest parts of being a songwriter is being able to be the voice for someone else’s story.”

Growing up in a musical family, her late Uncle Bill, known as B.E. Taylor, was a world-renowned singer and performer known for his annual Christmas Tour. Through this tradition and countless independent releases, B.E. helped propel the Taylor name into local hall-of-fame status for thousands of families throughout the 20+ year run of his career. As a world-class performer and a man of such strong faith, he was a natural fit as Bailey’s childhood role model. “I remember being 8 years old at one of his Christmas shows when I realized that I wanted to be just like him when I grew up. I loved watching him perform and interact with his crowds. I knew I wanted to follow in my Uncle Bill's footsteps.” Bailey had the honor of singing in her Uncle's concerts with him from ages 12 to 20 and is now a huge part of the remembrance shows her family puts on each December in honor of him. “No one will ever fill his shoes; he was truly one of a kind. It’s because of him, though, that I now have my own Christmas album out, “Christmas Love,” which includes seven originals and three of my favorite Christmas classics. He is the reason I am chasing this dream today, and all I ever pray for when I step on stage is that I’m making him proud.”

“My goal is to release music that my listeners can connect to. I love hearing how everyone relates to my songs in different ways. If the songs I release make even one person smile or helps someone through a hard time, then I did my job as a songwriter.”

Bailey has been writing songs since the age of ten and still to this day has such a strong love for the art of songwriting. “I love that I am able to tell my story and also be the voice for someone else’s story, through song. I never take for granted that songwriting is a gift not everyone has.” Nowadays the singer-songwriter lists Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood, and Carly Pearce as her musical inspirations.

Outside of her music career, Bailey loves working out, shopping, being with her friends/family, or just simply being outdoors, whether it's to take a walk or just to sit, relax, and talk to God. “I've always been strong in my faith, but moving to Nashville has definitely pushed me to be closer with the Lord. I go to church every Sunday, bible study weekly, but I talk to Him everyday. I love knowing that He has a plan for me far bigger than I could ever imagine.”

As Bailey’s fan base continues to grow, she’s reminded every day of all those who have supported her from her first days as a young artist. “I am so thankful to be surrounded by such amazing people in my life who continue to love and support me - they know who they are! I would not be where I am or WHO I am today without them.”
